Ingredients

Ingredients

Frozen blueberries - 4 cups Granulated sugar - 3/4 cup Cornstarch - 1/4 cup Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon Salt - 1/4 teaspoon Prepared pie crusts - 2 Unsalted butter 1 tablespoon Beaten egg - 1

Instruction

Step: 1 Combine the frozen blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt in a big basin. Toss everything together until the blueberries are thoroughly covered. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes.

Step: 2 Use one of the prepared pie crusts to line a 9-inch pie dish. Step: 3 Fill the pie shell with the blueberry mixture, making sure to distribute it evenly.

Step: 4 Cover the filling with the second pie crust. You can either place it whole and make ventilation slits in the top crust, or you can slice the top crust into strips and make a lattice pattern.

Step: 5 Put a baking sheet below the pie to catch any drips. Bake the pie for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.  Step: 6 After baking, take the pie out of the oven and let it cool completely before serving.

Step: 7 Cut the pie into slices and serve it plain or with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!  Note: If the edges of the crust start to darken too quickly while baking, you can cover them with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
