Kajmachina – Macedonian Creme Brulee


Delicious, fast, cheap and old Macedonian dessert. I recommend you to prepare this light dessert which is perfectly good for the summer temperatures.



  • 1 liter of milk
  • 7 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar (10 g)


  1. Mix eggs with sugar until foamy. Then add the milk and continue mixing for some time.
  2. Put the mixture in a glass dish and bake in the oven at medium heat for about 1 hour until brown pores appear on top. You can divide the mixture in several ovenproof dishes and bake.
  3. Cool and serve. You can pour melted caramel on top or combine it with cream.
