Traditional Albanian yogurt (Kos) is homemade, it tastes the same as Greek yogurt and is really simple to make. This Albanian cucumber yogurt (Tarator) is great as a side dip to any Albanian food, and a great way to have something different then just plain.
Albanian Cucumber Yogurt (Tarator)

Execution time: 5 Minutes
- 3 Cups Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 Cucumber (Peeled & Grated)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Garlic Oil or 1 Garlic Clove (Grated)
- Mint (Optional)
Mix the yogurt, cucumber, salt, olive oil, garlic oil or garlic together in a bowl. Pour into a small pot ready for serving. Chill for 15 minutes before serving.
For a hint of mint in the cucumber yogurt, mix two mint leaves diced or a sprinkle of dried mint into the mixture.
